April 3rd, Good Friday: It is a day of universal Fast and Abstinence in the Church.
Let us continue our Triduum celebration by now entering into the proclamation of God's holy word.
Prophet Isaiah presents to us another song of the Suffering Servant, prefiguring Jesus's Passion.
The Letter to the Hebrews extols Christ our great High Priest, whose obedience brought us our salvation.
In the Passion according to Saint John, we encouter a serene and majestic Jesus whose glorification comes i his being lifted up from the earth on a corss.
As we absorb and contemplate these scriptures, let us make them our own, taking their message to heart and praising God for the great salvation that has come to all prople thruogh this glorious Paschal Mystery.
